Many younger patients with stomach cancer have a distinct disease, Mayo research discovers

Mayo Clinic researchers discovered that many people younger than 60 who develop gastric cancer have a genetically distinct form of the disease that’s more aggressive than gastric cancer diagnosed in older patients. Their study was published in the journal Surgery.
