Treatment Efficacy in Metastatic Esophageal, Gastric, or Gastroesophageal Cancer According to Expression of ERCC1

The biomarker ERCC1 is of interest for predicting sensitivity to platinum-based chemo, but a recent study in the Journal of Clinical Oncology found that platinum-based FOLFOX was superior in all patients with gastric cancer regardless of ERCC1 status.
