2nd Annual Ernie Pierce Classic

Ernie Pierce ClassicOn June 20, 2011, family and friends of Ernie Pierce spent a wonderful day at the River Oaks Golf Club in Edmond, Oklahoma. The objective of the event was two-fold: first to honor and remember a fantastic man, Ernie Pierce, as well as to emulate his faith, integrity and love for his fellow man. Second was to raise money to fight gastric cancer, the terrible disease that took Ernie from his family, with an early afternoon, 4-person competitive golf scramble and evening dinner and silent auction.

Once again, the event was a wild success. For the second year in a row, through the generosity of family, friends and many local sponsors, the event raised over $18,000 for the Gastric Cancer Fund. This money will be critical as we continue to execute on our research goals. We thank Lesley Bloese and her family for their continued dedication and support. We look forward to the 3rd Annual EP Classic on June 18, 2012.
