Identifying stomach cancer risk

New research finds people with a potentially precancerous condition are at a higher risk of developing gastric cancer if samples from their stomach lining show specific chromosomal alterations. The study shows how genetic testing of these samples could improve detection of a cancer-causing bacterial infection
