Newly discovered cancer mutations could boost drug discovery

Scientists from the University of Maryland have identified thousands of genetic mutations that could contribute to cancer growth, including gastric cancer. Using statistical-analysis that searches for cancer-causing mutations shared within families of related proteins could pave the way to new targeted treatments.
