The Power of Reflection: Processing Emotions While Facing Cancer Webinar

Gastric Cancer Foundation is excited to join GI Cancers Alliance and astellas in presenting an upcoming webinar entitled “The Power of Reflection: Processing Emotions While Facing Cancer.” The free webinar will feature a presentation by oncology social worker Amanda Trout, LCSW, LSCSW, OSW-C and a moderated town hall for patients and caregivers which will focus on the importance of reflecting on mental health while facing cancer.

This event accompanies the launch of a new Reflections Journal, created in partnership with astellas and available free to patients and family members. About the Speaker Amanda Trout, LCSW, LSCSW, OSW-C, a board-certified oncology social worker with 15 years of clinical experience supporting patients living with cancer and their families. She’ll speak to the importance of recognizing and reflecting on your emotions while facing cancer, drawing on her background in psychosocial program development and adjustment-to-illness counseling.  Following her presentation, she will discuss and answer participant questions about navigating the emotional side of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
